The Story
Professor Sean Breton, the eminent archaeologist and writer was found dead in his Oxford hotel room yesterday. The body was found sitting upright in an arm chair looking through the window towards Trinity college. There was no evidence of a break-in and hotel security cameras show no visitors to the Professor since his arrival earlier that day.
The police are currently treating the death as suspicious. Breton, who had arrived in Oxford early yesterday, was due to present a series of hastily arranged lectures at a number of Oxford colleges. The subject of the lecture was known only to the Professor and his assistant but was expected to be centered around his recent work in the Antarctic.
Breton’s assistant, Miriam Sinclair, is currently missing. She was due in Oxford earlier today, but failed to arrive on her scheduled flight into Heathrow airport.
That was the report from this mornings Oxford Times. Short, concise and to the point. It was, however, inaccurate in one respect.
Miriam Sinclair, is currently in hiding after receiving a cryptic email message from the Professor just 60 minutes prior to his estimated time of death.

It is suspected that this message makes reference to the Professors iPod Shuffle, which was missing from his room, and up on which he, according to Miss Sinclair, kept backups of his work. In all likely hood the slides for the presentation on his recent discoveries are held on this iPod as is, maybe, the identity of his killer.
Miss Sinclair is scared to divulge the subject of Professor Bretons’ recent work in case she also becomes a target. Though she has mentioned that the professor couldn’t have hidden his iPod far from his hotel due to his injured leg.
We have created a map of the area of Oxford surrounding the professors hotel. It is up to you Hoard Hunter, to find the missing iPod and solve the mystery.
